As we move into the new year, you need to focus on how to make the best use of the year. Using some fundamental strategy and sales tactics, you can position your online business to make huge sales and build good customer loyalty in the new year. In this post, I will share with you the steps to archive huge online sales in the new year. Let’s get to it!

Step 1: Analyze your online sales performance for the past year.

It is important that you first do a good analysis of your online marketing performance for this year, pointing out the failures and successes you have encountered doing online marketing this year.

By using analytics tools in your online store and point-of-sale (POS) system, you can identify purchasing patterns and preferences of your customers.

You should also find out how customers who made purchases are finding your store online. It will help you focus more attention on the channels that drive quality traffic to your online business. For Example, If you get a lot of traffic to your clothing store from a blog post on the best clothing for winter. Then you should write more blog posts on that topic. If you discover that most of your sales are coming from Instagram, it may be worth it to invest more in Instagram adverting.

So analyzing your online sales performance will help you to vividly understand what the task ahead will look like, and how to strategize in other to make huge online sales.

Create a contact page that clearly shows how to contact you including a phone number, and email, and if possible a chat link and FAQ page. Always respond promptly when customers contact you and ensure their inquiries and complaints are well resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.

By doing all this, you will not only improve your customer experience but will also build confidence and good relationship with your customers.

Your content is key to success in making huge online sales, especially for a small business. You must present your potential customers with good quality content that is sure to trigger an action. People search Google for answers on different products and services every day. Providing your customers with interesting and relevant information can help people find your online store through SEO.

You must note that your content must not be all about your products and services, it should include good valuable information that will educate your potential customers and still maintain your niche and focus.

Remember that your goal is to convert leads, and not just educate the masses so they can buy elsewhere. You need to take a holistic approach to your content strategy. That means mapping content to the individual stages of the buyer journey. The simplest and most well-known form of the buyer journey can be seen in the three stages of the traditional sales funnel which are :

  • Consideration
  • Decision-making

Do not be too forward, make sure you do not talk about yourself and your product every time.
